Katrin Gebbe starts her filmcareer by shooting short – and experimental films at the AKI, Academy of Visual Arts and Design (The Netherlands) and the SMFA, School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, USA. 2006 she finishes her study with the Bachelor of Design in Visual Communications and starts the masters study in directing at the Hamburg Media School. In October 2008 she graduates with honors. During this time she directs awardwinning shortfilms, a.o. her final exam film SORES & SIRIN, which wins the European Young CIVIS Media Prize handed out by the European Union and qualifies for the Academy Award best live action short film. TORE TANZT (Nothing Bad Can Happen) is her first feature and premiered at Cannes Film Festival in 2013.
